Tabac Libre is quite boozy and fruity take on tobacco . She is a goddess of immortelle and osmanthus in the mid with showstopping opening of aged cognac, cuban cigars and red berries. I always smile when I am wearing it. There is a hint of dried tea in the blend that makes the composition deeper and drier. Yes it has sweetness, but more resinous kind. Imagine listening to jazz legends in an elite establishment with glass of beautifully aged XO.
Best part of it all is that nothing in Tabac Libre tells you a story of smoking Vanilla-Barbie. Instead it is a story of enchantress. Pure class and sophistication. All teenagers stay away, grown ups, pull out your credit cards. She is worth it, till the very last drop.
P.S. Angelos Balamis’s collection is amazing through and through! Featuring two tobacco dominant fragrances, iris masterpieces and fantastic fougeres it is so refreshing to witness that level of quality being served in the time where mostly average ambers and fruity scents oversaturated the current market.
In my humble opinion, much more fragrance lovers should be paying attention to Angelos Balamis’s work.
