I’m Kati, a passionate fragrance collector with a keen eye for capturing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
My journey with fragrances began when I was fairly young: I had my first fragrance when I was 6. During my life I started evaluating fragrances when I was in my early 30’s. Everything in between is a time when my fragrance collection grew into 500+ pieces of olfactory art, all carefully picked and preserved.
So how did collecting fragrances grew into photography you may ask? They seem to be two entirely different areas of passion.
During the Covid19 time I needed a creative outlet, a way to communicate with my friends and other fragrance lovers so I have taken my first photo of a bottle and written a review about it. To this day I know that it was Buontalenti by Profumo di Firenze. Ever since 2020 I was perfecting my skill of capturing scents both, via still imagery and motion. I am on a continuous quest to tell stories through my visuals and my writing.
Philosophy
Photography, to me, is more than just a hobby. It has become a profession; one I deeply care about. Capturing still images and sensational product videos is an art form that allows me to translate the essence of the scent, its emotion.
Whether it’s the serenity of minimalistic white background or a complex multilayered setup, neon colours or monochrome vision, I strive to create images and films that resonate with the viewer and tell a story that words often cannot.
