What do you know about Pour Toujours fragrances?
I heard of them briefly once from my Parisian friend but never seen or smelled one in person. Pour Toujours Graines was a blind buy based on the notes that stunned me when I was lurking on Fragrantica for osmanthus fragrances. For those who don’t know, it is my never ending search for one of my favorite notes in perfumery which is forever ongoing. When I stumbled on it being combined with iris and carrot seed I instantly thought this had huge potential. I asked around if anyone had samples, sadly noone did so I just dove in blindly and this scent is yet to disappoint me on any of criteria.
Opening of Graines is very high pitch and herbal with dominant lemony oregano notes making it very similar to classic late 80’s colognes. It also has the soft sweet slightly earthy note of carrot seed and soft floral musk that emits warmth on my skin.
Best part of this fragrance is hidden in its mid, when orris butter gets more prominent role intertwined with dry wood chips and ambrette seeds. There is ever so faint almost gourmand touch of Nesquick powder buried deep in the base.
I am still exploring this mysterious composition. If you are into well crafted smooth iris scents with woody nuances and French perfumery in general, definitely get your hands on it. Pour Toujours Grainesmade me want to explore the entire range. Let me know if anyone has any other recommendations in regards what to try and sample next from this house.
